Women
Most women ride with lot more feeling and snow touch, in a way more fluid style than men. The natural D1 faculty to have a strong grip on the edge (without requiering too much pressure on the edge), to be forgiving, to lean smoothly in the curves, suprises every girl who steps on a D1. Riding powder snow becomes so much easier : float on top of the fresh snow without speed and with less efforts. In these conditions the D1 overclasses every single "women's" board of the market : a real discovery for girls! Choose your model by selecting your size first, then your rigind style Enjoy the pleasure of the curve…
Men
Since years we advice smaller builts to ride the 5'5''. This winter we introduce the all new 5'2'', even lighter, more playfull and handier. This true allrounder is not limited to short turns : as each D1 you'll be surpised by its stability, and grip in wider turns. Your choice depends on the kind of curves you give preference to : shorter or wider turns. Naturally the 5'5'' will have a better floation off-pists than the 5'2''. The D1 5'5'' range covers most of the riders in this size range. The flex choice will be done upon your weight, your riding level and riding style. If you prefer deep snow and wide open curves, we highly suggest you to choose a 6' model. Particuler case : a former alpine rider will naturally tend to ride stiffer and longer boards (5'5'' +, 5'5' ++,6' +, 6' ++). At the opposite an "open minded" freestyler :) will feel at home with a shorter and softer deck (5'2'' Std, 5'5'' Std). Tall riders naturally love riding the 6'. The final choice is made upon the flex. This stiffness paramter depends of course on your weight, but also on your riding style : smooth, or more aggressive. Particulier case : if you exclusively ride short and medium turns, with few freeriding, choose a 5'5'' in a stiffer flex pattern. Our tip: if you're a former alpine rider, you will just love the 6++.

TO DEEPEN
Now, let's have a look at the various riding possibilites given by this great sport, so you can locate yourself in this big variety of styles. Of course if you're part of the 10% of hardcore freestylers, keep riding a medium short and twintip board that will offer you substantial performance in airs and jibs, while being naturally less performant away from the snowparks. You should know that the magical board that works 100% in all conditions does not exist. But our D1, while sacrifiying some air perforance is really getting close to it. At least it is the board of the market for 90 % of the riders that we are.

SPECS
You must know that for a given edge length, the D1 is taller than a classical shaped board. This length, and surface provides you a great floatation in powder while keeping the manoeuvrability on groomed of a short board. The size difference comes from the long and progressive nose profile. By this mean, the D1 5'2"" (158 cm) has the same edge legnth than a 148 cm classic shape, which is ideal for girls and small men builts. The D1 5'5'' (165 cm) equals a 155 cm. La 6' (178 cm) equals a classic freeride board of approximately 166 cm. Unlike most companies, we do not use true radiuses for our outlines. The value that is noted below is a "felt radius" on snow while riding.
