The big D2s with their exceptional surface area (0.49m2) are deadly weapons in deep snow. The long, progressively tapered nose provides unrivalled floatation, an absolute revolution in the ski world. The very same pointed nose allows you to traverse in difficult or tracked snow without flinching. You'll experience unparalleled acceleration. On the piste, the D2 181 is a carving demon, its unique design optimises your power and no matter what your standard is, you will discover a new style of edged turns while completely neglecting the fact you have 115mm underfoot. A newfound appreciation of the curve.

DISCOVER THE D2

In order to optimize your enjoyment of the curve, bring new performance and feel in soft snow or on piste, it is important to follow those few steps:

- Step on your skis in the "POWDER WHEN INSIDE" position.

- If the off-piste conditions are not the best, use this time to tame them on the piste. Time spent getting to know this side of them will not be wasted because once you understand the balance and power of your skis, you'll be way more prepared for the trickier off-piste conditions (forests, track snow, crust, transformed snow) in which the D2s excel.

- Take your D2s onto a quiet piste, preferably in a wide-open area with a medium incline.

- Give them space basically...

- Start off by making big, gentle turns at medium speed.

- The first objective is to position your D2s in a turn and see how they feel. Think about widening your stance, bending your knees and pressing on the downhill ski as much as possible.

- Try to understand them, gently break them in without treating them too harshly.

- After a few runs, don't hesitate to stop on the side of the piste to swap over your skis and try out the other position. You will discover new sensations, a whole new level of grip and different kinds of turns. It might be that you prefer one configuration to the other depending on your style, the snow conditions and what you want to ski.

- It's time to exaggerate the angle of your downhill ski and stop your ski skidding at the start of your turn: you're carving!

- If there is powder, put them in position "POWDER WHEN INSIDE", and enjoy!
